How to choose a kitchen rug
A kitchen rug works best with a low pile, so it is easy to walk on and to vacuum, and in a pattern or a mid to darker tone that suits the room. A runner suits a galley kitchen and a small rug sits in front of the sink or stove.
What size kitchen rug do I need?
A 2x6 or 2x8 runner suits most galley kitchens, and a 2x3 or 3x5 rug suits the area in front of the sink. Leave a few inches of bare floor at the cabinets. Size names are rounded, so check the actual size shown under Size on each rug. See our kitchen rug guide.
How do I keep a kitchen rug in place?
Put a non slip rug pad under it, cut slightly smaller than the rug, so the corners stay flat.
