How to choose a toddler rug
Choose a size that gives a toddler room to crawl and build, usually a 5x8 for a bedroom or an 8x10 for a playroom. Simple, large shapes and gentle colours suit little ones, and a pattern hides everyday spills. What size toddler rug do I need?
Measure the play area and leave a few inches of bare floor at the walls. Size names are rounded, so check the actual size shown under Size on each rug. See our guide to measuring for an area rug.
Do I need a rug pad?
Yes on a hard floor. A rug pad keeps the rug in place when toddlers crawl and run on it.
