How to choose a 7x10 rug
7x10 is the size name for a rug of about 7 by 10 feet. The actual size is shown under Size on each rug and can be a few inches smaller.
Where does a 7x10 rug fit?
A 7x10 suits a living room of about 10 by 13 feet, a primary bedroom, or a dining room with a table for four to six. It sits between a 6x9 and an 8x10.
How much floor should show?
Leave about 12 to 18 inches of bare floor between the rug and the walls. If the rug would reach closer than that, choose the next size down. See our measuring guide.
Do I need a rug pad?
A rug pad keeps a large rug from sliding.
